All previous research on the topic of data sonification in different environments can be found on the following blog:

The research has been taking a theoretical approach towards auditory displays and a practical approach towards data in 3-dimensional environments, such as Unity3D.
During the research process and through valuable experiences and input from the working environment at DataShaka the project idea and its hypothesis have evolved from an immersive data sonification space to a practical ambient auditory display in an working environment.

Introduction
This blog will document the research, practical work and results of the Hochschule Darmstadt Master Thesis 'Listening to the Heart of Business', which will be conducted at the DataShaka office in Soho, London. The major research aim lies on testing and evaluating a live data sonification platform inside an office space, giving the company the ability to constantly be on top of their data.
The general research hypothesis is that this ambient auditory display presenting company internal metrics will give employees the opportunity to constantly know the state of the business and its products and therefore enable them to take action quicker rather than having to constantly monitor a visual dashboard.
The project will start on the 1st of September 2013.
